Does lightgun support really work in this release?
Yes and No.

to add to my confirmation of super scope support, here is a list of games that use it (i dont have the roms for these games except for yoshis safari which i got to test if indeed lightgun was implemented, so i cant guarantee that these games work under dsnes, im just letting you all know the games that support the feature for those of you interested in extending the usefullness of your dc lightgun):
Lamborghini American Challenge
Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge
Super Scope 6 cart
Terminator 2: The Arcade Game
However, it has been reported that some PAL Lightguns have trouble with certain games (always shoots in the middle of the screen, no matter what).
